General Managers, Cluster General Managers, Hotel Managers, Restaurant General Managers, Operations Managers, Spa General Managers, Wellness Directors, Tourism Directors, travel business leaders, airline operations leaders, airport leaders and aviation executives worldwide are all eligible. There are no geographic restrictions and leaders at every level are welcome.
Yes. We accept self-nominations as well as nominations submitted on a leader's behalf by a colleague, owner, employer or peer. In every case, the strongest submissions are supported by clear, specific evidence of leadership impact and measurable achievement.

Our jury assesses ten criteria: Leadership Excellence, Financial Performance, Team Development, Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Operational Excellence, Guest Experience, Brand Growth, Market Position and Industry Contribution. Each nomination is scored against these standards for a fair, consistent assessment.

Every winner is announced on stage at the gala, receives a verified digital badge and is featured across our communications. An optional winner package provides a trophy, plaque, medal and signed certificate for leaders who wish to display and celebrate their achievement.
Shortlisted leaders are notified directly once the shortlist is confirmed, and winners are revealed at the gala ceremony — the culmination of the season's recognition. Winners and their organisations are also recognised across our editorial and digital channels.
Winners receive a verified digital badge and logo lockup for email signatures, websites, LinkedIn and press, plus the opportunity to display physical materials from the optional winner package. A World GM Award strengthens both personal brand and a property's reputation across the global industry.

Gala Ceremony

The Evening of Recognition

The World GM Awards gala takes place on 14 November 2026 at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai, from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The dress code is Black Tie, and the evening includes a reception, gala dinner, the awards presentation and networking.
The evening opens with a red-carpet welcome reception, followed by an opening address and keynote, a curated gala dinner, the awards presentation across all categories, and an evening of live entertainment and networking among the world's most celebrated hospitality, tourism and aviation leaders.
The gala brings together the finest General Managers and senior leaders in global hospitality, tourism and aviation, alongside their teams, partners and guests, for a black-tie celebration at one of Dubai's most iconic beachfront venues. It is as much a networking occasion as a ceremony.
No. Winners are recognised across our communications and receive their digital badge regardless of attendance. That said, the gala is a memorable highlight and a valuable opportunity to celebrate with peers and accept recognition in person. For attendance enquiries, please contact us.
Fees

Costs and Transparency

The nomination fee funds the independent jury evaluation, awards administration, the production of the gala and year-round media coverage and winner fulfilment. It is an investment in a rigorous, credible process. The full explanation is on the fee page.
No. Fees and tiers have no influence on the outcome whatsoever. Winners are chosen exclusively through independent jury evaluation and merit-based review. There is no public voting and no pay-to-win at any stage of the World GM Awards.
